Portrait Workshop with Wende Caporale

Join us for a three-day workshop with Wende Caporale. This concentrated workshop will focus on the development of a portrait in oil and pastel using a live model. Students will observe as Wende demonstrates her method in each media the first two mornings with explanations of the fundamentals regarding drawing, values, color and composition. Students will work from live models in the afternoons. Wende’s work in oil and pastel has garnered many awards from the Pastel Society of America, Allied Artists of America, Hudson Valley Art Association, Portrait Society of America, Audubon and Artists of America and at the Salmagundi Club. Her work has been exhibited at numerous museums including the Butler Institute of American Art.
