Handbuilding Mugs & Creating Your Own Bisque Stamps

Create a collection of unique, beautifully textured mugs while exploring the possibilities of handmade surface design. In this all-levels workshop, taught by artist Lucy Schaeffer, students will begin by working with Lucy’s collection of bisque stamps, texture rollers, and mug templates to build their first piece.

From there, each student will design and create their own bisque stamps or texture plates to use in additional mugs, developing a personal visual language through repetition and pattern.

In the final session, we’ll focus on glazing techniques that best highlight texture, leaving you with multiple finished mugs and a deeper understanding of how stamping can shape and elevate your work.
