Lucy Schaeffer

Lucy Schaeffer studied Painting & Printmaking at Yale University and has worked as a commercial photographer for the past 15 years. When she moved to Croton on Hudson in 2019, she opened a small home pottery studio for herself and dove into ceramics. Her photo clients include Starbucks, Chipotle, Food Network, and Delish, and she has shot over 50 cookbooks. In her pottery studio she loves making functional tableware, and can often be found sneaking her plates and bowls into food shoots. She is a member of Hudson River Potters and lives in Croton on Hudson with her husband and two girls. This is her first year teaching at Katonah Art Center.
