Lori McQueeney
Since an early age, Lori has been drawing and learning to capture the shapes and colors of the world around her. In college, her interests were biology and chemistry and she holds a B.S. in Medical Technology from Syracuse University. Her first career as a medical technologist combined her artistic observation skills with her academic studies, allowing her to use a microscope to discern subtle and diagnostic visual clues from the shapes and colors of blood cells. She later held management positions in regulatory, marketing and sales in the diagnostic blood testing industry.
For the past several years, Lori has dedicated herself to watercolor and has studied with many of the best watercolor teachers including Tony Couch, Andy Evansen, David Taylor, Mel Stabin, Iain Stewart, Pat Weaver, Don Andrews, Marie Natale and many others. Lori is a sensitive and generous teacher and looks forward to sharing her knowledge and experience with students of all levels. Her work demonstrates the freshness and beauty of transparent glazes of watercolor paint. She has exhibited in many group, solo and juried shows.
