Kelly Makuch

Kelly Makuch is a multimedia artist whose experiences have included painting, sculpture, advertising, film, and for the past 18 years, kilnformed glass. She has studied at Brookfield Craft Center, Hot Glass Horizons workshops, Vitrum Studio, and Corning Glass Museum-The Studio. Her work has been published in The Artful Home 2004. She has shown/sold her work in various places, including fine shops, galleries, art centers, craft shows and privately.

Kelly joyfully shares her knowledge with all ages. She has taught workshops/demoed at Sterling College in Craftsbury Commons, Vermont and McLaughlin Vineyards in Sandy Hook, and Brookfield Craft Center Brookfield, Connecticut. This year marks her third year as a Continuing Education teacher for the Newtown Public Schools in adult education and for Newtown’s SMART Camp where she teaches fused glass to children, grades K-6. Kelly has long enjoyed hosting a variety of classes and workshops from her home-based studio in Newtown, Connecticut while continuing to focus on her own work.
