Kate Marlowe

Kate Marlowe received her BFA from George Washington University and studied Art Education at the School of Visual Arts, NYC. She has been teaching art to children ages 18 months to 12th grade for the past 14 years at various programs including SVA’s Saturday Art for Kids, The Clinton School for Writers and Artists, The Katonah Art Center and ThistleWaithe Learning Center. Her art classes are child-driven with a focus on process and creativity to build confidence and self-esteem as well as knowledge of materials, techniques and art concepts such as line, texture and composition. Kate is a mixed media artist with a concentration on low-tech photography. Her work has been exhibited in both solo and group shows across the East Coast. She is the author of Sun Exposures: A Guide to Low-Tech Photography.
