James MacWhirter
James MacWhirter is a Westchester local, who graduated from Susquehanna University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in 2010. For several years he worked as a graphic designer in Norwalk and Westport, Connecticut. While working part time in Westport, James was inspired to take a pottery class in his free time. 7 years later, James is still taking pottery classes at KAC and is now teaching. He enjoys throwing on the wheel, and experimenting with new glaze combinations. James enjoys making functional pieces, from planters to mugs and his favorite part of the process is the satisfaction of holding a finished piece in his hands.
