Jaime came to New York as a young adult from Colombia. He established a career as a hairstylist where his artistic ability was expressed. Fashion runway work led to salon ownership in Greenwich, CT and Manhattan’s upper east side. Jaime’s success as a colorist and precision cutter is understandably a result of his creative talent.
With salon ownership and its demands behind him Jaime spends the majority of his time behind the easel exploring his artistic studio practice. Jaime creates from his mind’s eye. His imagination is his inspiration. Working primarily in acrylic paint, Jaime brings his vivid visions to life through abstraction by calling on the historical views of the Abstract Expressionists coupled with his personal sensibilities.
Jaime resides in Chappaqua with his wife and two children.
