ART FOR NEPAL / Collaborative Sand Mandala

KAC will be leading a Collaborative Sand Mandala that will run throughout the Art for Nepal Earthquake Relief Exhibit held at the new Anderson Chase Gallery. The exhibit will be featuring photographs and paintings inspired by Nepal, as well as work created by Nepali artists and artisans.

The project invites community members of all ages to learn about and try their hand at the ancient art of Buddhist Mandala Sand Painting (there will also be a sand painting project for younger children).

The project & exhibit will open June 13th, 3:30 – 5:30pm, with a reception featuring a sampling of Nepali food donated by The Jewel of the Himalayas in Yorktown Heights and an update by the exhibit's curator, Larry Frank, on the relief efforts in Nepal.

Both the Art for Nepal Earthquake Relief Exhibit and the KAC Sand Mandala Project will be open to the public June 13th through June 27th, Monday – Friday 9am – 6pm as well as Saturday 10am – 3pm.

Donations and 100% profit from sales will go to Educating Nepal. You may also donate directly by clicking here.
