Intaglio Printmaking for Teens

Length: 1h. 30m.

One of the oldest forms of graphic art, Intaglio printmaking is the process in which a metal plate is incised with tools or etched with acid so that it can retain ink. The plate is then run through a press transferring the image to paper. This class will include several different types of mark making such as drypoint, scribing directly into a copper plate, and creating an etched line on a copper plate using a ferric chloride solution. All levels welcome.
