Hyperrealist Painting
Length: 2h. 30m.
Hyperrealism is a genre of painting and sculpture resembling a high-resolution Photograph. This genre has become increasingly popular due to recent advancements in technology. Many artists use Hyperrealism to create abstract paintings by enlarging a fragment of photograph, sometimes to the point of pixelation, and rendering it with the utmost precision. In this class we will learn the methods used in Hyperrealism including the projection of an image onto the canvas, as well as more traditional approaches such as gridding.
