Sally Franklin

Sally studied art at The Traphagen School of Fashion Design and Illustration in New York City. From there she began her professional art career as a fashion illustrator for a major department store where she worked for many years.
Her work now spans beyond illustration and into the delicate watercolor brushstrokes and meticulous colored pencil renderings of her current representational paintings.
Drawn to fabrics and textiles from her years as a fashion illustrator, Sally includes beautiful prints and textures in many of her paintings.
Her work "Three Oranges in a Glass Bowl" was selected for the Gallery Page in Colored Pencil Magazine.

Sally has studied with many prominent artists and is a member of The Kent Art Association where she recently had the honor of being Judged and Voted into Elected Artist Status.
